In2Books is an exciting eMentoring program for grades 3-5 that fosters students' reading, writing and critical-thinking skills across the content areas. This program offers carefully-screened adult pen pals, and free books for students and teachers in Title 1 schools!

Help your students write a better future!
  • Under teachers' guidance, students explore key issues in books and exchange online letters about these issues with their online adult pen pals.
  • In2Books is totally digital and flexible, so teachers can implement it on their own schedule.
Research results validated by education leaders
  • In2Books students scored significantly higher on SAT-9 standardized reading tests.
            Phi Delta Kappan, March 2007
  • 9 out of 10 teachers say In2Books positively impacted their students' achievement.
            Reading Teacher, May 2007
  • "The [In2Books] work is challenging because students are not merely required to retell or state literal-level facts from their books, but to engage in higher-level thinking about their reading through discussions and letter writing."
Linda Gambrell and William Teale, The Reading Teacher, May 2007
