Help your students write a better future with In2Books!

In2Books has been used successfully in classrooms with basal curricula and in less structured learning environments. Students and their adult pen pals read the same books and discuss them via online letters using our a safe and secure website.
How it Works!
  • Students are matched with adult pen pals.
  • They write "Getting to Know You" letters to each other.
  • Students become "informed readers" by studying five genres: Realistic Fiction, Social Studies, Biography, Folktales and Science.
  • Students select one book from each of the five genre studies to read over the course of the year.
  • Students and adult pen pals exchange online letters about important issues in the books.
  • Teachers reinforce learning with in-class book discussions and instruction in genre, comprehension, writing and related content.

  • Professional development opportunities are offered throughout the year.
